John Farnham, 'Torso', 1998. Location - outside the Art and Design Gallery. Farnham was born in 1942 Born Perry Green, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire. He was Henry Moore’s Assistant from 1960 to 1986, and exhibited in the Art and Design Gallery in 2002.

Andy Goldsworthy, 'Cone', 2001. Location - opposite the Art and Design Gallery Goldsworthy, (born 26 July 1956) is a British sculptor, photographer and environmentalist producing site-specific sculpture and land art situated in natural and urban settings. He exhibited in our St Alban’s gallery (Margaret Harvey Gallery) in 1996 and was also a Research Fellow at the university.

Trevor Tennant, 'College Plan', 1952 Location - Main building staircase. Tennant, (born 2 July 1900) was a sculptor, painter and teacher. He was commissioned by Hertfordshire County Council in 1948 to produce a wall sculpture for Hatfield Technical College that responded the architect’s plans of the Main Building.

Mary Nixon and Hermonie Harper, 'Untitled', 1996 Location - Main building side entrance The piece was commissioned to mark Pat Ingram’s presidency of the trade union – Unison. Ingram was formally a Faculty Registrar at the university and the first Unison President.

Diane Maclean, 'Mountain', 2005. Location - Glass section towards end of main building. Maclean is a sculptor and environmental artist and is an alumni of the University of Hertfordshire. ‘Mountain’, a stainless steel walk-through sculpture was displayed at the Natural History Museum in 2005 before moving to it’s permanent home at the university.

Barbara Hepworth, 'Vertical Form', 1951 Location - End wall of main building. Hepworth (10 January 1903 – 20 May 1975) was an English sculptor. Her work exemplifies Modernism and with such contemporaries as Ivon Hitchens, Henry Moore, Ben Nicholson, Naum Gabo she helped to develop modern art (sculpture in particular) in Britain.

Tabatha Gravener, 'Spiral Bridge', 2009 Location - Near the University's nursery. Gravener is an alumni of the University of Hertfordshire and graduated in 2011 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. Gravener was the winner of the Birch Engineering and University of Hertfordshire Sculpture Prize in 2009.
