Hello Lester Wallis Smith, my husband Terence Richards was in Hatfield school same time. He was in Ruthcford class.. Do you have any school group photos?
Was there from 1964 – 1971. remember the climbing wall being built on the end wall of the gym and many happy hours spent there at lunchtimes and after school – all totally unsupervised of course. All the inspiration of the headmaster Mr Slaney and the gym teacher Eustace…no sure of the spelling.
To be notorious there was difficult by I think I managed it, spent the last year of A levels at home! I left in 1970 and returned to take a computer science degree some years later when the school part was returned to the polytechnic.
I attended from 1965 to 1972 and, as one of the sixth-form, helped with the move to the new site. Many happy memories! Fellow pupils from my time meet annually for an informal reunion at The Red Lion, Old Hatfield on the last Saturday evening in February; feel free to pop in!

Started there in 1966. Happy days.
Brings back memories, I went to this school in 1955.
