  • I went to Cranbourne infants school straight from Birchwood baby nursery,

I only remember fainting in the hall, and the only other thing I remember is the little prayer we had to sing at the end of each day it went like this, Does anyone else remember it too?

    HANDS TOGETHER, SOFTLY SO,
    LITTLE EYES SHUT TIGHT
FATHER JUST BEFORE WE GO, HEAR OUR PRAYERS TONIGHT
WE ARE ALL YOUR CHILDREN HERE, THIS IS WHAT WE PRAY
KEEP US WHEN THE DARK IS HERE
    AND THROUGH EVERY DAY AMEN

  • I went to Cranbourne Infant School in 1953. Mrs Lloyd was the headmistress then and I remember one of the teachers was Mrs Bates. I always enjoyed my school days.
