VE Day Celebrations, World War 2

VE celebrations

By Michael Browne

This photograph is of those who attended the celebrations of the end of the War in Europe  1945 from Bramble Road and Ellenbrook Lane. I doubt many are still alive today, many and probably the majority were of course employees of De Havillands which is just over the willow trees in the background. It was held on the field where now the houses 11 to 27 Bramble Road  exist, and our then willow tree playground has also been gone for some time. The VJ celebrations later in the year on the same field were far more exciting for us kids but unfortunately I cannot find the photos

I recognise most of the faces but not the names but list below those I am sure of.
