Tank rides

Does anyone remember, after the Second World War, all the army tanks that used to be bought to Mount Pleasant, Hatfield by train? Does anyone remember the models of the tanks? Our lodger at the time was in the tank corps and he took the tanks from the train and drove them over Mount Pleasant bridge to Jack Oldings. He used to take me along for rides in the tanks. I was only 6 or 7 at the time.
