My grandfather was Charlie Taylor who owned the tobacconist & confectioners shop in Salisbury Square. Later it became a sub post office and was ran by my dad for a few years before he returned to his career as an aircraft craftsman.
We lived in Park Street when I was a girl 1948 – circa 1955. My Dad, Jim Doyle was the Milkman with the Horse and Cart and worked for Holliers Dairy.
Would love to know the dates of these photos. I am researching both my family and husbands family both resident 1798 or earlier to 1845.
